Hiking to Hieroglyphics

It's Memorial Day and we went a hiking. Uncle Michael knows a cool trail that's close to one of his bike trails. I started off right by loading up on crackers in the parking lot.
Some really nice people were there when we started to take our picture at the trailhead. Look how cute I am in my plaid capris!!
Okay, no smile here, but really I was excited to get going!
Starting the trail I let Lilly sit in the backpack...
'cause I wanted to walk a bit.
Of course I can't be expected to walk the WHOLE way, so Aunt Crystal and Uncle Michael took turns carrying me for little stretches.
Even Emma started to get tired, so we took some snack breaks.

Eventually I took my turn in the backpack...I think I was heavier than Lilly by just a pound, maybe two.
But no worries, Mom and Dad, with all that strain I was sure to stay hydrated.
This was our last snack break. After this we decided to turn back even though I wanted to keep going. This hiking stuff is easy.
Lilly loved walking down the mountain, she kept saying "Go, go go!"
But I guess the adults had had enough so we headed home.
